A huge congratulation goes out to the Phoenix Home Educated Archery Team or HEAT. Sponsored in part by Willmeng Construction, the HEAT recently represented Arizona at the 2016 NASP national competition in Louisville, Kentucky, where several team members qualified to move onto the world competition.

The Phoenix HEAT is made up of 40 home-schooled students ages 8-18. Through Arizona Game and Fish, they participate in NASP—the National Archery in the Schools Program. Willmeng made it possible for several students to travel to nationals by making a substantial financial donation.

Several archers with the HEAT shot in the high 270s/low 280s out of 300, which made the team score high enough to qualify for the 2016 NASP World Tournament. The event will be held in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in June. At least a dozen students with the Phoenix HEAT hope to attend.
