Willmeng recently broke ground on the new Northrop Grumman Tactical Space Division Production Facility located in the Gilbert Spectrum Business Park on the Southwest corner of McQueen and Elliot roads. The expansion includes a 90,000 square foot addition to its existing satellite manufacturing facility.
The expansion of Northrop Grumman Tactical Space Division Production Facility in Gilbert marks another project Willmeng has completed for the aerospace company. After completing the 633,000-square-foot Launch Vehicles Division Headquarters in Chandler, they now add on even more manufacturing space at a different facility. Willmeng is thankful to be involved in delivering projects that positively impact our nation’s security and defense capabilities. This project is not an extension or expansion off of the Chandler campus; instead, it has a separate workforce and objective. These facilities enable the site to meet projected business growth and increased customer demand for high-quality, flight-proven satellites for NASA and the Department of Defense, as well as commercial and international customers.
Designed by Gensler, this expansion will maximize space to allow for nearly double the production capacity than at the facility prior to construction and provide reliable and quality space hardware to domestic and international customers.
