Willmeng attended and sponsored The 7th Annual Fighter Country Partnership (FCP) Honorary Commanders Golf Classic hosted at Wigwam Resort.
The FCP is the leading support and advocacy organization for Luke Air Force Base, and all of the event proceeds help make long overdue improvements to the base. Last year, the event funded the complete remodeling of the base’s fire station.
“The Fighter Country Tournament is consistently the best golf tournament that we get to attend, every year,” said James Murphy, president of Willmeng Construction. “From the cause, to the effort and planning of the tournament itself, it is literally second to none.”
Entertainment never falls short at this event. How else would you properly kick off the tournament that supports and honors Airmen and their families in need, than the firing of a Howitzer! Some of the holes were poker themed and few even had remote control robots roaming the green.
A vast number of amazing volunteers and sponsors helped pull the event together and it was so wonderful seeing the airmen enjoy themselves on the course. Willmeng fully supports the men, families and mission of Luke Air Force Base and we cannot wait for next year’s tournament!
