The 5,500-square-foot office renovation began on July 1, 2016, with design plans by Architekton being discussed six months in advance. The Willmeng team worked early mornings and late nights around the clock for 9 weeks to ensure that employees would gain back access to their space on time.
The team’s dedication to overcome challenges throughout the project fueled their drive to succeed. Daily coordination ensured the team was connected and in sync on what was needed to keep moving forward. As the projects custom finishes were being built and installed you could see the one-of-a-kind project take life.
The software company made it a priority to shift from the traditional, uniformed workspace to a more sophisticated, and home-like working environment. Informal lounge areas were complete with custom finishes and playful accents. Exposed ceilings, raw steel and walnut wood finishes created a rustic, industrial feel.
“The renovation for [our confidential client] is a project that we’re proud of because it required a lot of blood, sweat and tears,” said Veronica Davis, project manager. “We built custom door frames out of rusted metal and created customized baffled ceilings!”
In addition to Davis, members of the Willmeng team on this particular project include Tino Hernandez, project engineer, Richard Leon, superintendent and Sam Dul, estimator.
“It was fun to be part of this project and I definitely appreciate all of the hard work that everyone on the team put in,” said Hernandez. “The more challenging the project was, the more driven we were. This would not have been possible without the support of our subcontractors and our team members.”
Davis reports that our clients is very pleased with the project outcome thus far and are excited to bring new hires into the relaxed atmosphere.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
