Banner Sports Medicine Center

Banner Health recently awarded Willmeng the Banner Sports Medicine Project, a three-story, build-to-suit sports medicine clinic utilizing the CMAR delivery method. The clinic, designed by HKS Inc. and located on the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community land, includes a physical therapy and sports performance center on the first floor. The sports performance center provides athletes with an indoor half-court basketball area and a lighted, athletic synthetic turf agility training field to use during physical therapy. There will be an imaging center for both MRIs and X-rays on the first floor as well. A health clinic is housed on the second floor. Patients are evaluated in the health clinic and, if needed, treated for their injuries, including concussions. On the third floor, there is an ambulatory surgical center with six operating rooms, pre- and post-operatory surgical accommodations, as well as sterilization facilities that have air particle and air pressure requirements. In addition, the clinic has laboratory and medical office spaces with a full medical gas system.
