About Treasure House
Treasure House Phoenix is a residence where young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDDs) find a supportive community and a personalized plan for achieving independence, inclusion, and purpose as they transition into adulthood. Each resident has the same chance to lead a fulfilling life as anyone else, by removing stigmas and promoting independent living and personal growth. We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive with their abilities.
In August 2018, Brenda Warner and NFL Hall of Famer Kurt Warner founded Treasure House in Glendale, Arizona with inspiration from their son, Zach. It is the only facility of its kind in the Southwestern United States. Through a two-tiered approach of Community Assistants and 24/7 Life Coaches, the nonprofit solution examines each resident’s dream for themselves and empowers them with customized programming. Treasure House offers Community-Based Housing and Services; Knowledge and Skill Development; Connections and Mentorship; Meaningful Education, Vocational and Social Opportunities; and Community Awareness and Advocacy.
Open since August 2018.
Residents/Families are only expected to pay 48% of the total $8000 monthly cost to make it as affordable as possible.
Treasure House is currently at full capacity with 29 residents, ages 18-52. The nonprofit's Growing Home Capital Campaign aims to raise $6.5 million in support of North American expansion.
Since inception, Treasure House has served 44 different residents.
92% of the residents are employed. The remaining 8% volunteer in the community.
