The logistics software giant, specializing in freight management services, recently relocated its corporate headquarters to the Riverwalk in Scottsdale. The move brings all local operations for GlobalTranz under one roof.
Willmeng Construction led the tenant improvement project as the general contractor, combining two facilities into one modernized 70,347 square foot space for GlobalTranz. Developed by the Alter Group, GlobalTranz occupies roughly 50% of the RTech building, which is part of a $400 million mixed-use business park at the Riverwalk. Some of the project highlights include vibrant colors, a unique building structure, and an open-concept workspace.
Willmeng President James Murphy said, “The project presented some challenges, as the scope evolved from a multi-phase tenant improvement to incorporating a full lobby renovation complete with a tire chandelier, and the expansion of the parking lot.” The parking lot upgrades involved the addition of more than 700 parking spots and 60 covered spaces, as well as site phasing and improvements surrounding existing occupied buildings.
Evolutions design was the architect, Cody Phelan was the project manager, and Dan Roelle was the superintendent. According to GlobalTranz, the new corporate office promotes happier and more productive employees. The facility will allow GlobalTranz to continue to expand operations from its corporate office in Arizona.
