This year, Willmeng President James Murphy was honored as a business leader who is “igniting innovation,” and it was revealed during the event that Willmeng Construction, Inc. finished 7th in this incredible collection of high performing businesses.
Every spring the ASU Alumni Association selects alumni business leaders to be invited back to campus so as to be recognized, honored, and reacquainted with their alma mater. “ASU has a fantastic history of entrepreneurship and leadership, and I am thrilled to represent the Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering, and more specifically the Del E. Webb School of Construction,” said Murphy. “For the second year in a row, ASU was recently named #1 in the U.S. for innovation over the likes of Standford (#2) and MIT (#3). That said, it is very humbling to get recognized among the top ten firms at this event.”
“More than 30 percent of the Willmeng team are graduates of ASU,” said Murphy. “Our partnership with the university spans across projects and people – from teaching classes and funding various programs and initiatives, to the graduates that Willmeng mentors and employs to deliver projects as a result of the Valley’s growth. We truly are a product of ASU.”
