James Murphy at State of the City Mesa

Willmeng Construction, Inc. had the honor to attend the City of Mesa State of City address from Mayor John Giles. If you haven’t spent some time in Mesa recently it’s very impressive. Mesa has taken an innovative approach on everything, making it a national leader whose forecast is beyond bright. From their partnership with Arizona State University on the Water Treatment Plant or bringing ElectraMeccanica into the city (yes, that is Mayor Giles arriving in a ElectraMeccanica car) Mesa is setting the standard. The city is leading with sustainable efforts and we are grateful to be at the center of much of the public and private development activity.
Leaders like Bill Jabjiniak and Lori Collins with the City of Mesa Office of Economic Development and others have done a phenomenal job bringing so much industry and economic development to Mesa. The proof is in the numbers of just how far they have come. Not only is Mesa the first city in the US to purchase an electric fire truck for Mesa Fire and Medical Department (Arizona) but they also already have electric and solar customers all part of making Mesa healthy and sustainable. And planned projects like Gulfstream Aerospace are shaping the region at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport Authority.
In addition to everything else, Mesa strategically partners with Mesa Public Schools as well as Mesa Police Department to have one of the top Covid-19 responses with 75,000 vaccinations and adding more than 200 safety personnel. The event drew Willmeng friends and clients with current and future projects in the works, including Petsas Commercial, Marwest Construction Ltd., Electramccanica, Eco Mesa Downtown Mesa Association.
Congrats Mesa on an amazing recap! https://bit.ly/34MIOK1
