The landmark project marks the culmination of more than a decade worth of strategic planning and investment to transform the area from cotton and dairy farms into a Class A business park that can successfully attract global companies.
Located on a former dairy farm at the southeast corner of Price and Willis roads, the multi-building facility will include office space and 261,000 square feet of state-of-the-art manufacturing space within Park Place – a 180-acre master-planned mixed-use development by Douglas Allred Company. The launch vehicles to be designed and manufactured at the new campus will be used to provide cargo to the International Space Station, launch satellites, and defend the nation. Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems, formerly Orbital ATK, also plans to hire 250 more employees in the next year and a half to operate the facility.[/vc_column_text][gem_vimeo video_id=”277526733″][vc_column_text]The groundbreaking concluded with a successful launch of a rocket. The new Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems’ Launch Vehicle Division Headquarters is scheduled for completion in 2019. To date, Willmeng has completed a number of projects at Park Place on behalf of developer Douglas Allred Company, but the 617,000-square-foot campus for Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems is the largest yet.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
