City of Maricopa Heritage Park Improvements

The Maricopa Heritage Park project transformed Heritage Park along Plainview Street in the City of Maricopa’s Heritage District into a revitalized and accessible community gathering space. The scope of work included site grading and earthwork operations, installation of underground storm, irrigation, and electrical utilities, and construction of a pedestrian bridge with steel framing and ADA-compliant grating. Improvements also consisted of concrete flatwork, curbs, sidewalks, hardscape features, and an amphitheater stage, along with new ramada structures, shade sails, playground equipment with safety surfacing, and comprehensive landscape installation, including irrigation and sod. Additional enhancements included site furnishings, lighting, pavement improvements, and the creation of a “Historical Walk” with interpretive placards celebrating the area’s heritage.
