ABOUT
The Greasewood Springs Community School Replacement project is part of a federal program partnership between the Navajo Nation, Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), Bureau of Indian Education (BIE), U.S. Department of Education, and Greasewood Springs Community School.
The original campus, built in 1962, was reaching the end of its lifecycle with numerous inadequacies, failures, and safety concerns. This new campus is a ground-up replacement and includes full-size classrooms for computer labs, science labs, home economics, fine arts, language and culture, special education, library and media center, dining and kitchen areas, administrative offices, conference rooms, and storage areas. Also included is a dormitory to house 50 students and new staff quarters for teachers.
