Willmeng is renovating an 8,759-SF lobby at Hayden Ferry Building 1, upgrading finishes, HVAC, and security systems. The project involves ACM paneling, custom flooring, ADA compliance work, and a collaborative design process to meet the client’s architectural needs.
A particular challenge involved adjustments for ADA compliance on a 12% slope, requiring close coordination teams. Additionally, the absence of an in-house architect led to extra planning to manage design details and finalize finishes. Despite these complexities, Willmeng’s approach emphasized safety, ensuring minimal impact on existing building occupants.
