The project included a ground-up two-story high school wing, a ground-up kindergarten wing, the addition of a new gym and theater and some renovations to the existing building and parking lot.
“In order to accomplish completion of the project and open the school on time, work had to be done through the winter, while snowing, and on a fully occupied campus. The [Willmeng] team was flexible and accommodating as they managed the delicate balance of keeping school management happy with minimal disruption to the normal school day, all while satisfying on track with the schedule,” said Barb DeLisa, BASISed Senior Director of Planning and Building Development.
BASIS Schools is the developer, Chermack Consulting Group is the development manager, and Carhuff & Cueva Architects designed the expansions.
The first BASIS Curriculum School in Northern Arizona, BASIS Flagstaff, opened in 2011. There are currently 21 BASIS charter schools in Arizona. The BASIS Curriculum Schools network began as a single charter school in Tucson in 1998, and has grown to 31 schools across the United States and around the world.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_media_grid style=”load-more” items_per_page=”6″ grid_id=”vc_gid:1561148992498-d38d7c6a-0098-6″ include=”35601,35600,35599,35598,35597,35596,35595,35594,35593,35592,35591,35590,35589,35588″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
