In addition to playing in the four-person, best shot scramble at Whirlwind Golf Course at Wild Horse Pass on May 5, Willmeng organized an in-house fundraiser before the tournament to collect new toy donations from employees to keep the toy closet stocked for children to enjoy following difficult treatments or procedures.
“As donations, support and participation throughout Willmeng steadily grows for the toy drive each year, it’s great to see everyone’s continued commitment to such an important cause,” said Willmeng President James Murphy. “My family and I understand how important this golf tournament and toy drive are to the to the children at Banner Children’s through personal experience. The closet creates an outlet for children and offers them a moment of peace and relief during hard times.”
Willmeng has been a dedicated supported of the Banner Children’s / Cardon Children’s Medical Center for many years. Murphy’s daughter Audrey is a former patient of Cardon Children’s Medical Center. Last year, Willmeng’s Keyvan Ghahreman and LaRina Ornelas proudly participated in the Help Fill the Toy Closet Foundation’s annual check presentation of $102,000 to Cardon Children’s Medical Center courtesy of funds raised by an annual golf tournament.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
