Willmeng proudly supported the 7th Annual Feed My Starving Children Golf Tournament at Cottonwood Golf Course hosted by Men’s Ministry at Light Christ Church. Through the tournament, the organization has purchased nearly 400,000 meals to feed over 1,100 children for one year.

“It was nice to hear about the experiences and the joy that the members get by participating with the organization,” said Craig Waymire, project engineer intern. “I enjoyed the opportunity to support a great cause and golf with fellow employees.”

The organization sends food to Haiti, Sudan, Jamaica, Bolivia, Tanzania, Liberia, Guatemala, Malawi, Nicaragua, Sir Lanka, India and to hurricane victim when disaster strikes.

Feed My Starving Children was founded in 1987. The food formula was designed by food scientists at Cargill and General Mills to meet the nutritional needs of malnourished children that are anywhere from four to eight-years-old. Each meal has 20 different vitamins and minerals that are tailored to meet a child’s needs for one day.
