Hamilton Sundstrand is a global corporation with various business units that design, manufacture and support technologically advanced aerospace and industrial products for worldwide markets. The company provides electric power generating, distribution, management and control systems. Willmeng Construction was invited by RREEF to join the Design/Build team to meet the project schedule and define the project scope. The project was to relocate three manufacturing facilities (Phoenix, AZ; Rockford, IL; and Farmington, CT) to the new state of the art facility in Phoenix, Ariz. The existing building required huge upgrades in the mechanical and electrical systems plus the interior office space improvements. New systems installed included but not limited to: new interior steel columns, mezzanine structure, interior footings, three new SES and underground feeders, electrical bus duct distribution, electrical switches and production panels, new chillers and chilled water piping, chilled water trench, compressed air piping & compressors, electrical and water drops for equipment, new rooftop AC units, humidification system, new hi-bay light fixtures, and new security and fire alarm systems.
