Willmeng recently had the opportunity to meet and network with representatives from international companies that are exploring expansion into the United States. The first event was a spinoff of the SelectUSA Investment Summit. The spinoff event in Phoenix, one of 13 such events in the nation, was focused on the Semiconductor and Electric Vehicles and Autonomous Vehicles ecosystem that is starting to sprout wings in Arizona. More than 60 companies in the semiconductor and EV/AV industries were on hand at the educational event hosted by the Greater Phoenix Economic Council Willmeng’s delegation was led by CEO James Murphy.
Then, Willmeng’s Jimmy Lindblom attended the national SelectUSA Investment Summit in Washington, DC. This experience was a tremendous learning and networking opportunity for Willmeng. The event drew nearly 5,000 attendees, many of which were international investors and developers exploring business opportunities in the United States. Arizona is an attractive destination for international companies, and Willmeng was proud to represent the state, along with Gov. Hobbs, Sandra Watson of the Arizona Commerce Authority, Chris Camacho of GPEC, Kelly Patton of APS, Karla Moran from SRP, as well as the economic development teams from several cities and towns around the state. Arizona State University was also on hand to strengthen its relationship with the international business community. Willmeng looks forward to furthering our connections with international companies as they consider growing in Arizona.
