Willmeng had a bustling spring on the green filled with various golf tournaments, which helped to support important causes in Arizona and within the construction industry. These tournaments served as opportunities to raise funds for charitable organizations and provided a fantastic platform for networking and reconnecting with colleagues and industry professionals. With its relaxed and social atmosphere, golf offered a perfect setting to engage in meaningful conversations, strengthen relationships, and catch up with those who may have been seen for a while. We were thrilled to help positively impact the community while fostering connections within the industry. Check out the fantastic organizations we supported below!

Help Fill the Toy Closet Golf Tournament

There’s nothing better than a morning on the green for a good cause! The Willmeng team enjoyed participating in the Help Fill the Toy Closet Golf Tournament in May. Proceeds from this event will help support Banner Children’s Hospitals. After a procedure or treatment, a child gets to pick a toy of their very own to take home with them, which helps to boost their spirits, thanks to the great work of Fill the Toy Closet! This organization has been active in the valley for over ten years. Its annual golf tournament helps them get closer to their goal of donating 1 million dollars to Banner Children’s Hospitals. We were honored to be a bronze sponsor this year and look forward to continuing our partnership! Learn more about how you can support this organization here.

36th Annual Valley Partnership Golf Tournament

The first weekend in May was busy for our team at Willmeng! We kicked off the weekend at the 36th Annual Valley Partnership Golf Tournament! We played a few rounds with many of our industry partners; there is always a little friendly competition involved. It is always great to connect with so many of you, and we were glad to see that the event’s auction helped to raise $25,000 to benefit the Valley Partnership’s 2023 Community Project. We can’t wait for next year’s event, and thank you to Valley Partnership for all you do. Learn more about Valley Partnerships’ fantastic efforts and their work in our industry here!

Kyrene Foundation Golf Classic

We spent our Cinco de Mayo at the Kyrene Foundation Golf Classic, which helped to raise over $35,000 to support the Kyrene Foundation in its mission to provide resources and other support to the students, families, and educators of the Kyrene School District. It was a fantastic day of friendly competition with many of our industry partners, and we are so proud to see our team members supporting the Kyrene community! You can read more about the Kyrene Foundation and its efforts  here.

While we are out on the green, we are continually reminded of how strong our industry is and how many amazing people we get to interact with on a day-to-day basis. Whether it’s a nonprofit or an association, we love spending time with this group and are honored to call them our peers.
