If there were academy awards for commercial real estate activity in Phoenix, it would be NAIOP Arizona’s Best of NAIOP Awards. Willmeng was recently named Best of NAIOP Arizona’s 2016 General Contractor of the Year, an award that recognizes excellence and commitment to the industry.

“Willmeng accomplishes the success of being a premier contractor for ground-up, office tenant improvement and industrial projects by being a true partner to owners, brokers, architects and engineers,” said President James Murphy.

The body of work that propelled Willmeng to receive this recognition includes 237 tenant improvement projects (impacting millions of square feet of real estate) and new shell construction for Trammel Crow (Mach One), to continued construction for Douglas Allred Companies (Park Place Phase One – Buildings 4 and 10), to new industrial space for EastGroup (10 Sky Harbor).  Willmeng has earned its seat as the general contractor of choice for several of NAIOP Arizona’s most influential members.

Willmeng’s contribution to establishing Arizona as a national leader in office absorption is not simply as a builder. “We are actively involved as a Leadership Council member for the Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC), a group of companies that are uniquely positioned to assist in attracting prospective companies to the Valley,” said Tom Jarvis, vice president of sales and pre-lease estimating. “As such, Willmeng is an active participant as each business location is targeted. We pride ourselves on not only building the community, but driving the business that sustains it.”

In addition to supporting hundreds of commercial real estate transactions, Willmeng dedicated a significant amount of time and energy to support NAIOP Arizona through board, committee and event involvement, and is committed to NAIOP Arizona’s philanthropic endeavors as an active participant.

“The Arizona Chapter of NAIOP is an assembly of the best of the best in terms of developers, architects, and brokers.  From effort to push legislation that make Arizona’s commercial real estate more competitive, to positively impacting the community, there is a reason that we support NAIOP at the level that we do,” said Murphy. “The organization shapes the community in a favorable way.  We are humbled and honored by the recognition of this high performing, nationally recognized chapter.”
